The accident happened just before 6:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Route 422 near River Bridge Road in Douglassville.
The tractor-trailer was travelling west on Route 422 when the driver lost control around a sharp turn. The vehicle went down an embankment, rolled over and landed in a wooded area.
Rescue crews were called to the scene to extricate the driver. It took over a half hour to get the driver out of the cab.
The injured driver was flown to a nearby hospital with multiple injuries.
Commuters should expect delays in the area.
