Romney: 'I just am who I am'

WASHINGTON (AP) - February 26, 2012

The former Massachusetts governor says he wants to use his success "and that know-how to help the American people."

Critics point to a disconnect between the average American and Romney, the Harvard-educated son of a Michigan governor who made hundreds of millions running a private equity firm.

But Romney refutes the criticism, pointing out that while other candidates have come and gone from the race, he's still running. He says he's gotten more votes than anyone in the race so far.

Romney adds: "You know, I can't be perfect. I just am who I am."

He made his comments on Fox News Sunday.
