It happened at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday on the southbound side.
Police say the driver of an SUV lost control and ended up on the guardrail just south of the area known as "the sandbox."
One person was taken to Christiana Hospital. The extent of injuries is unclear.
Traffic was backed on southbound I-95 as crews worked to clear the wreckage.
All lanes were back open by 2:15 p.m.
