The crash occurred Tuesday at 6:46 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Sproul Road.
Police say an unidentified female was crossing Sproul Road when she was struck by a southbound vehicle.
The female was pronounced dead at Bryn Mawr Hospital.
The victim is described as a white female, between 60 and 80 years of age.
She was wearing dark clothing and dark colored shoes.
Marple police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have information regarding the identity of the victim to contact them at (610) 356-1504.
