Police and medics were called to Fifth and Walnut, around 2:40 Saturday morning.
One of the vehicles careened across the intersection and came to a rest in Independence Square.
A woman was pulled from the wreckage and rushed to nearby Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Action News has learned that the woman is listed in critical condition.
The conditions of the other six people injured are not yet known.
Police have not said who caused the accident.
