The incident happened in the 4200 block of Richmond Street in the Bridesburg section.
According to investigators, the 92-year-old woman wasn't paying attention when she walked into a moving Mack truck.
The woman was rushed to the hospital but is expected to be okay.
Her dog, however, did not survive the accident.
The name of the woman involved has not been released.
