The fire occurred at the Brandywine Hundred Apartments in the 400 block of Foulk Road about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities say the woman has not been identified, pending notification of her next of kin.
Officials say the fire was contained to the victim's fourth-floor apartment. However, Talleyville Fire Company Chief Tom Looney says a few apartments near the victim's unit where thought to be inhabitable.
