Twenty-two-year-old Richard Cabreja of Wilmington is charged with assault and other offenses. He is being held on $135,000 cash bail.
Officers say Cabreja was involved in an altercation outside Mojo's on Main early Friday when he displayed a handgun and fired one shot. A man who was running from the scene was shot in the buttocks.
Police say onlookers restrained Cabreja until officers arrived. An officer had to user a stun gun when Cabreja resisted arrest.
The shooting victim was treated and released at a local hospital. Two bar bouncers were pistol-whipped while restraining Cabreja. One declined treatment; the other went to a local hospital.
