Middle Township Patrolman Martin Lindholm was driving in the area of Route 9 and South Dennis Road in the Cape May County community when the crash occurred Saturday night.
Authorities say Lindholm was being treated at a hospital for injuries he suffered in the accident, but further details were not disclosed. The other driver refused medical treatment at the scene.
The cause of the accident remained under investigation Sunday.
