It happened on the 1900 block of Fillmore Street in the Frankford section of the city around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say the father was shot in the back and critically wounded.
The gunmen tied up another man who suffered a seizure. He's in stable condition.
The gunmen stole a large amount of cash and are still on the loose.
Six people were inside the house at the time of this home invasion robbery.
