It happened just after 9 this morning at a BP gas station in the Wilmington Manor section of Delaware..
A male suspect entered the BP Gas Station located on US Rt. 13 and Harrison Avenue.
The suspect bought an item to purchase to the counter.
The 54 year old male clerk on duty opened the cash register to complete the sale, and the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the register.
The clerk struggled with the suspect inside of the store, and the fight continued outside of the store before the suspect fled without any money.
He was last seen entering a red Chevrolet passenger vehicle and fleeing in an unknown direction.
The clerk suffered minor injuries.
The Delaware State Police are asking anyone who may have any information to contact the Robbery Unit at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 ext. 6.
