Investigators say Wilkins Gerald Marte-Escana turned himself over to authorities hours after he killed 24-year-old Olga Vascones-Garcia in the lobby of a motel in Manchester Township, York County.
Northern York County Regional Police says Marte-Escana stabbed his girlfriend in the chest. Vascones-Garcia was 19 weeks pregnant and gave birth before dying, but doctors were unable to save the baby.
Marte-Escana faces charges of homicide and homicide of an unborn child. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
Police say Vascones-Garcia's daughter witnessed the slaying.
