NJ man pleads guilty to '10 taxi driver attack

DEPTFORD TWP., N.J. - March 30, 2012

22-year-old Randy S. James Jr. made his plea Friday and is awaiting sentencing.

The attack happened in June 2010, when the 37-year-old driver picked James up in Clementon.

After the crime, James fled the scene and the driver called for help.

An off-duty paramedic was nearby and rendered first aid until an ambulance arrived.

The victim was taken to Cooper Medical Center, where he was treated and released five days later.

James was arrested a short time after the incident and with his guilty plea he could spend up to 12 years in prison.
