Lines were painted on a Philadelphia street, claiming to be designated for people who get distracted on their electronic devices.
The sidewalk is located on the 1400 block of JFK Boulevard, across from City Hall.
The new lane, while it is a joke, will remain for a week to bring attention to the very serious problem of texting and walking.
Referred to as the E-Lane, the space is easily identified with its bright lines and a distracted walker icon.
