Man shot in the neck in Kensington

KENSINGTON - April 2, 2012

The shooting happened at approximately 1:45 a.m. Monday on the 700 block of E Willard Street.

According to investigators, a 25-year-old man and another 21-year-old individual were walking home from a Chinese restaurant when two men approached them. The suspects robbed them and then assaulted the 25-year-old victim.

The victims ran, but that's when the suspects opened fire, hitting the 25-year-old victim in the left neck. The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The suspects got away with an iPhone, $120 and a SEPTA token.

The first suspect is described as a light skin Hispanic male, approximately 20-years-old, wearing a black hoody. The second suspect was a black male, wearing a gray hoody. Both were armed with handguns.
