Chairman William Ryan Jr. tells The Philadelphia Inquirer state lawmakers will have to decide what to do with the long-stalled license that had been awarded to a group of investors including Foxwoods.
The state Supreme Court on Friday rejected investors' appeal of a lower court's decision upholding the December 2010 revocation of the $50 million casino license.
Ryan says any decision to open up the license to statewide biding would fall to the legislature. The license is currently tied to a Philadelphia location.
But a spokesman for state Sen. Dominic Pileggi tells KYW-AM the majority leader is leaning toward not awarding a license at all.
