Muhammad Ali at ballpark sparks comments

MIAMI, FLA.; April 5, 2012

As a cart carrying Ali came onto the field, many people didn't know who it was. They didn't immediately recognize the aged man with the severely shaking hands as the 70-year-old Muhammad Ali.

Ali is one of about one million Americans with Parkinson's Disease.

His appearance sparked a lot of comments on social media sites about Parkinson's and its effects.

One tweet read, "Watching Ali tonight made my heart ache."

Parkinson's is a progressive disease. There are treatments for the symptoms such as stiff muscles and tremors, but there is NO cure.

There is however a way to get involved in finding a cure and better treatments. Join the "Stamp Out Parkinson's Walk" on April 21st in Philadelphia.

The walk takes place from 8 AM to 12 PM, at Lloyd Hall at the base of Kelly Drive in Fairmount Park.

Action News meteorologist David Murphy will be among the walkers.
