Child seriously hurt after being hit by car in Montgomery County

A 6-year-old child was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Montgomery County.

The accident happened at 3:39 p.m. on Horsham Road near Keith Valley Road in Horsham.

Police say a 6-year-old child was hit by a 2011 Toyota Rav-4 traveling west on Horsham Road.

Police tell Action News the driver immediately stopped at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The child was flown by helicopter to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for treatment.
