Suspect in Ohio office stabbings indicted

COLUMBUS, Ohio - April 06, 2012

Thirty-seven-year-old John Mallett also was indicted Friday on five counts of felonious assault. Police say he injured four people inside the Columbus building on March 14 before running outside and charging at a police officer who then shot him.

Investigators say Mallett carried three knives into the building, which houses a career college and offices for the Ohio attorney general staff. They say the attack appeared random.

Mallett's father has said his son is schizophrenic and might have been under stress.

No attorney is listed in his online court record.
