Bus driver airlifted in NJ multi-vehicle crash

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. - April 12, 2012

The accident happened at 3:07 p.m. along Irving Avenue in Deerfield Township.

Police say the bus, occupied by the driver, a student and an aide, collided with a Cadillac.

At least one of those vehicles collided with a small commercial box truck.

The bus driver, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his legs, was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital for care.

The student and the aide were transported to Regional Medical Center in Vineland. Their injuries are said to be minor.

The driver of the Cadillac was also taken to Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.

The bus is from the Salem County Social Services District.

No other injuries were reported.
