Police: NE Phila. home invasion ends with victim firing suspects' gun

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA - April 17, 2012

It happened around 2:00 p.m. along the 9300 block of Jamison Avenue.

There, police say, a 6-year-old answered the door and three men forced their way inside point of gun.

A 27-year-old inside the home was pistol whipped.

During a struggle, police say the man was able to wrestle the gun away from one of the men and fired at them.

It's not known if anyone was hit.

The 27-year old man was transported to Aria Hospital Torresdale Division for care.

He is stable.

A woman and two children who were inside the home at the time were not injured.

The three suspects fled the scene.

Police recovered the gun in question.
