Del. convicted killer awaits sentencing

WILMINGTON, Del. - April 21, 2012

The News Journal of Wilmington reports Superior Court Judge Charles H. Toliver IV banned Cooke from sitting in on the proceedings because of an outburst Thursday in which he threatened to harm the judge and his family.

Cooke was found guilty last week of 10 charges, including first-degree murder, rape and arson in the death of 20-year-old University of Delaware student Lindsey Bonistall.

Prosecutors say he broke into Bonistall's off-campus apartment and raped and strangled her before placing her body in a bathtub and setting the apartment on fire.
