Banks Increase "Special" Offers
The next time you go to the bank you might get bombarded with new offers. Some of the nation's largest banks are now offering prepaid debit cards with tons of fees, emergency loans with steep charges or a whole host of new products that carry high fees. They are expanding those offerings because those products were largely untouched by all the recent financial regulations that caused the banks to lose billions on debit and credit card fees.
Get a Costco Mortgage
Earlier this week we told you can now buy medical insurance at Costco well now the bulk retailer is going further. You can now get a mortgage there as well. According to CNN Money, Costco is rolling out a full-service mortgage lending program on its website as part of a partnership with 11 lenders. It's already issued more than 10,000 mortgages to its members and expects that number to swell into the millions.
