Newark police say Pierre Leroy, 84, of Newark, was arrested on Friday.
The investigation began back on April 16th when, police say, they were contacted by a 35-year-old patient who said she had visited Dr. Leroy's office for an appointment.
The victim allegedly told police of the unwanted contact, which happened at Leroy's office at 249 East Main Street in Newark four days earlier.
Police did not release further details of the alleged incident.
Leroy was arrested on five counts of Unlawful Sexual Contact and released after posting $2,500 secured bond.
