Unabomber submits update to Harvard alumni book

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - May 23, 2012

Ted Kaczynski graduated in 1962 and is in prison for killing three people and injuring 23 during a nationwide bombing spree between 1978 and 1995. He lists his occupation as "prisoner" and his awards as "eight life sentences."

The alumni association apologized Wednesday "for any distress that it may have caused others." It says all class members were invited to submit entries.

A Harvard spokesman says the entry was submitted by Kaczynski but can't say how the university confirmed that. A message has been left with Kaczynski's attorney.

Kaczynski railed against technology and led authorities on the nation's longest and costliest manhunt before being arrested in 1996.
