2 teens, 2 adults injured in multi-vehicle NJ accident

MONROE TWP., N.J. - May 28, 2012

The accident occurred just after 6:00 p.m. at New Brooklyn and Jones roads.

Police say a 1995 BMW attempted a left turn onto Jones Road, when it encroached the right of way of a Honda Accord.

The impact caused the Honda to crash into a Toyota Highlander which was stopped at a stop sign on Jones Road.

Police say the 35-year-old driver of the Honda Accord, was trapped inside of his vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency personnel.

After extrication, the driver was airlifted to Cooper Trauma Center for multiple serious injuries.

A 45-year-old female passenger in the Honda was transported by ambulance to Kennedy Hospital in Washington Township for neck and leg injuries.

A 16-year-old female passenger in the BMW was airlifted to Cooper Trauma Center for serious lower body injuries and the 17-year-old male driver was transported by ambulance to Kennedy Hospital for minor injuries.

Police are withholding names of the victims until all family members have been notified.
