"We're having our 70th anniversary!" said Earl Weir.
The class of 1942, and we had the best class this school ever graduated," said Eleanor Graff Lingle.
The school was Nether Providence High School, and Thursday like they've done for the last 25 years, a small number of the graduating class of 1942 and their families, gathered together to reminisce.
"We're very close," said Eleanor. "There were no cliques in our school. Everybody was just there for each other."
The group gathered at the Concordville Inn Thursday for a trip down memory lane.
"I was president of student council, the first girl to ever be," said Helen Weir Cooper.
And in 1942, Helen was voted most popular.
"Eleanor was the one who was more popular," said Helen. "And boy, she could dance oh my!"
Eleanor said she did some ballroom dancing, jitterbug and even won some contests.
Now in their late 80's, they are no longer dancing like they used to, unlike other high school reunions, no one's judging each other about how they've aged.
"But some are better than others at aging," said Earl Weir. "I'm one of the lucky ones."
The class of 1942 has had lots of laughs over the years...but sadly this will be their last formal reunion, but they vow, it will not be the last time they see each other.
"And I think that they younger generations need to learn that lesson, that their friends are going to be there forever if they make the effort," said Eleanor.
