Red Cross launches free first aid app

PHILADELPHIA, PA.; June 14, 2012

The American Red Cross today launched a mobile app today for both iPone and Android phones.

The app provides step-by-step instructions for every day emergencies. It also has instructional videos, and questions to test your first-aid knowledge.

The app includes authentic Red Cross disaster preparedness information for a number of common situations.

Users can also take quizzes to earn badges they can share with friends through social media to show off their lifesaving knowledge.

In it's first day, it's already number 4 in popularity at the Apple iTunes store.
