Stern is the Bellaire attorney accused of trying to have his wife, Yvonne Stern, killed. Earlier this week, Stern's attorney's held a news conference saying they had information that Stern's former mistress was trying to put a hit on Jeffrey from jail.
The judge in the case hauled all attorneys into court Thursday, and admonished them for that conference. Judge Denise Bradley accused Stern's attorneys of creating a circus-like atmosphere.
Yvonne Stern's attorney says the prosecutors are leaving them little choice.
"I am so sick and tired of them protecting Michelle Gaiser, a multiple attempted, pathological lying murderess, and forgetting that Yvonne Stern is the victim," attorney Chip Lewis said.
Jeffery Stern is expected to go on trial later this year for the attempts on his wife's life.
