It happened around 4:00 a.m. in the 5900 block of Cobbs Creek Parkway as the victim was walking to work.
Police say the victim was approached by two men who told him to "give it up."
Before the man could even take out his wallet, one of the suspects shot him in the thigh.
The two men fled in an unknown type vehicle.
The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
An investigation into this shooting continues.
