5 people injured in head-on collision

MARLTON, N.J. - June 23, 2012

It happened on the southbound side of Route 73, near Route 70 in Marlton around 5:00pm.

Police say a Lincoln swerved across the median and slammed head-on into a Jeep which slammed into a third vehicle.

Police believe the driver of the Lincoln may have had a medical condition that caused the crash. He is listed in critical condition at Cooper Hospital; his wife is in stable condition.

Police say a pregnant woman was driving the Jeep. She was also flown to Cooper Hospital in critical condition. Her passengers, her juvenile son and her mother were taken to Ocean Medical Center where they are listed in stable condition.

Southbound Route 73 was closed for two hours while police investigated.
