It happened around 10:30 Sunday morning on the 1700 block of Yewdall Street.
The exact details of the fire are unclear but the flames were under control in less than an hour.
Medics arrived and found a woman in her 30s with multiple burns to her face, arms and legs.
The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. No word on her condition.
Investigators are still trying to piece together what sparked the blaze.
