Victim of SW Phila. home invasion, 80, dies

Police say the 80-year-old man who was shot during a home invasion last month in Southwest Philadelphia has died.

That victim, Joseph Fleming, died from his wounds on Friday, police said.

That same day one of the suspects in the crime, Aaron Pitts, turned himself in to homicide detectives.

Police are still looking for another suspect, 18-year-old Sean Johnson of the 2100 block of South 67th Street. He had been in custody, but somehow escaped.

The shooting happened on May 17th. Police said Fleming heard a noise in his basement, went to investigate and was shot in the stomach and leg.
