POTTSTOWN, Pa. (AP) - July 2, 2012

George D. Senter, who died in July 2011 at the age of 93, taught at The Hill School in Pottstown from 1952 to 1983. The Mercury reports the school says the money will go toward a scholarship fund, a mathematics chair and the school's endowment.

In 1999, Senter said he intended to leave a large part of his estate to the school "because I love The Hill School." The school says the gift is one of the largest it's received over its 161-year history.
