4 teens injured in alleged road rage crash

NEW CASTLE, Del. - July 4, 2012

It was 4:23 p.m. Sunday when 18-year-old Jamie Moseley was driving her 1991 GMC Jimmy northbound on Route 1 along the Roth Bridge. That's when a second vehicle, described as a blue newer model BMW and operated by a white male with spiked hair, swerved into Moseley's lane.

Moseley swerved her SUV to avoid collision, then overcorrected and overturned. The GMC Jimmy flipped three times before striking a barrier and coming to rest.

Moseley was flown to the hospital by EMS helicopter and treated for non-life threatening injuries. Three other teenage passengers were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The teenagers tell police that the driver of the BMW intentionally swerved toward them in an attempt to run them off the Roth Bridge. They also say in addition to the male driver, the BMW was occupied by a white female with blonde hair and a small child.

Police want the public's help in identifying the driver of that vehicle. Anyone with information on the BMW or its occupants is urged to call investigators at 302-378-5218.
