It began after 5:30 p.m. Friday at home in the Top of the Ridge Trailer Community in the 1400 block of Gibson Road.
Police say the man barricaded himself in his trailer and threatened to harm himself.
He told police he was distraught over a troubled marriage.
Officers cordoned off a section of the trailer park and negotiated with the man until he surrendered before 8:00 p.m.
Police say there was concern at the beginning that there may have been someone else in the trailer with the man.
They later determined he was alone.
