Toxicology results negative in freeholder crash

EAGLESWOOD, N.J. (AP) - July 10, 2012

Officials say the May 18 crash happened as Freeholder John "Jack" Kelly was turning into a parking lot from the northbound lane of Route 9 in Eagleswood Township.

Officials say 24-year-old William Kolb of Barnegat was heading south on his motorcycle and had just passed a vehicle when the crash occurred.

Kolb was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kelly, who has been a freeholder since 1993, escaped injury.

State Police spokesman Trooper Christopher Kay tells the Asbury Park Press the final report on the accident has not been completed and no charges have been filed.
