Camden police investigate two fatal shootings

Camden police are investigating two shootings hours apart that left two men dead.

Police were called out to Virtua Hospital on Mt. Ephraim Avenue around 1:00 a.m. Sunday.

Officials say a car dropped a man's body off at the emergency room parking lot and drove away.

The man was pronounced dead of gunshot wounds.

Police soon discovered that the shooting had occurred near the intersection of Mt. Ephraim Avenue and Morton Street.

Hours earlier, authorities were called to the 900 block of Beideman Avenue for a report of a shooting.

At around 9:00 p.m. Saturday, police discovered a 42-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was rushed to Cooper Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests in either shooting.

The names of the victims have not been released.

There have been six homicides in Camden since last Tuesday.
