AccuWeather: Severe Thunderstorm WARNINGS issued

The NWS has also posted an Excessive Heat Warning for the urbanized areas in our region. The combination of prolonged heat and humidity could create dangerous storms.

WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny, hot and very humid with a high of 99, which would tie the record set back in 1953. But, the combination of heat and humidity will be make it feel like it's about 105. We will track a cold front coming out of the Great Lakes. This will trigger a few showers and strong, gusty thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours. Be careful if you are headed to the Union game.

THURSDAY: The cold front stalls across our region, bringing some more showers and humid conditions. But, the heat wave will be broken. High: 87.

FRIDAY: The latest indications are that the front still lingers across our area. That would bring us more unsettled conditions and lower than normal temperatures. High: 82.

SATURDAY: High pressure builds in brining plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures. The high: 85.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and seasonably warm. The high: 86.

MONDAY: Plenty of sunshine and getting hot again. The high: 90.

TUESDAY: Partly sunny and hotter. The high: 90.
