Pa. man allegedly set afire after robbery in garage

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) - July 21, 2012

The (Johnstown) Tribune-Democrat says the victim, whose name wasn't released, told police in Cambria County that he was working in his Lower Yoder Township garage late Thursday when two hooded men entered, hit him in the head with a handgun and tied him up with an electrical cord.

West Hills police chief Andy Havas said the victim said the pair then doused him with gasoline, set him on fire and fled with money.

He said he managed to free himself and used a garden hose to douse himself with water.

Havas says he was taken to Pittsburgh's West Penn Burn?Center with severe burns.
