NY man faces arraignment in wife's '11 NJ murder

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (AP) - July 23, 2012

The Morris County Prosecutor's office says Kashif Parvaiz and Antionette Stephen face murder, conspiracy and weapons charges in the killing of Nazish Noorani last August. Both are due in court on Monday.

The 27-year-old Noorani was shot while walking with her husband, Parvaiz, and their 3-year-old son in the northern New Jersey suburb of Boonton.

Parvaiz claimed their attackers called the Pakistani-American couple "terrorists," but authorities retrieved text messages that led them to believe Parvaiz and Stephen planned the attack.

Parvaiz is being held on $3 million bond and Stephen, of Billerica, Mass., on $5 million bond.
