Crews arrived around 10:30 p.m. to the 700 block of West 9th and Adam Streets.
They found a man in his 40's lying on the street suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.
Officers immediately began to resuscitate him until paramedics arrived.
He was rushed to Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
A second male victim was driven by car to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg and is expected to be okay.
Police later discovered that both victims had been standing on the street together when they were shot.
Their names have not been released and officials are investigating.
