Police: Man opens fire on his girlfriend in East Lansdowne

EAST LANSDOWNE, Pa. - July 31, 2012

The incident started around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday when police responded to a call of shots fired on Cleveland Avenue in Upper Darby.

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood tells Action News that a male opened fire on his girlfriend. He missed her but hit one or two cars.

The boyfriend then fled to his house on the 100 block of Lewis Avenue, near Pembroke Avenue in East Lansdowne.

A short time later, police arrested him.

He faces weapons offenses and reckless endangerment charges..
