Poll: NJ's feelings about Christie are complicated

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -August 1, 2012

A Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind poll released Wednesday finds 55 percent of respondents approve of the job Christie is doing as governor, a number that hasn't changed much all year.

But not everyone feels good about his policies and personality.

The poll finds 36 percent like both, while 29 percent don't care for him or his policies. The rest are torn, with 14 percent saying they like Christie but not his policies and the same percentage liking his policies but not him.

Three-quarters of voters said they hadn't heard of his lieutenant governor, Kim Guadagno.

The survey of 945 registered and unregistered voters has a sampling error of plus or minus 3.3 percentage points.
