Pharmacy worker quits, steals, leaves IOU

UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) - August 1, 2012

Online court records don't list an attorney for 26-year-old Matthew Cumberland, of Uniontown, who also does not have a listed telephone.

Uniontown police say Cumberland quit his job at a Walgreen's pharmacy in that city about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh on Saturday, apparently upset that he wasn't getting enough hours.

Police say surveillance video shows Cumberland taking the money and that he left a note saying, among other things, "I quit this place" and "This place is a joke anymore" before adding, "P.S. IOU."

Cumberland has yet to be arraigned on the theft charge police filed.
