Neshaminy Mall jewelry thief caught on tape

BENSALEM, Pa. - August 6, 2012

Investigators say it was 2:00 p.m. last Thursday when the man entered Gordon's Jewelers. He asked to see a 1K diamond engagement ring valued at $8,500. The employee removed the ring from the showcase and handed it to the suspect, who after taking a moment to examine the item, ran from the store and into the mall parking lot.

The suspect was last seen running across Neshaminy Boulevard.

The thief is described as a black male between 20 and 30 years of age, approximately 5'10", with a slim build, large circular holes in his earlobes, Mohawk haircut, some facial hair, and tattoos on his right arm. He was wearing a black Flyers hat, black Flyers t-shirt with #18 Richards on the back, white long sleeve shirt underneath the t-shirt and black basketball shorts.
