The bodies of the two New Brunswick residents - 10-year-old Francisco Perera and his best friend, 11-year-old Devine Nicholas - were found late Monday afternoon, nearly a day after they had been reported missing.

They were last seen by their family members early Sunday night and had been the subjects of an intense search involving numerous law enforcement agencies. The families of both boys said neither youth knew how to swim.

The Home News Tribune reports that the county Medical Examiner's Office issued its findings late Tuesday afternoon. Autopsies had performed on both boys earlier in the day.
