Police investigate Frankford home invasion robbery

FRANKFORD - August 10, 2012

It happened around 11:45 Friday night on the 1400 block of Church Street.

The 21-year-old homeowner told officers that he arrived home to find two armed men wearing masks.

One of the suspects allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money.

The victim gave the men $200 but the suspects demanded that he open his safe.

At first the victim denied owning a safe but later complied. Police say the suspects took nearly $15,000 and fled the scene.

The victim told police that he obtained the large sum of money from saving money and a winning scratch off lottery ticket but an investigation continues.

No injuries were reported and police are still searching for the two suspects.
