3 injured when car plunges near Cooper River

COLLINGSWOOD, N.J. - August 11, 2012

It happened around 1:30 Saturday morning on Route 130 near Park Drive in Collingswood, New Jersey.

Authorities tell Action News that the driver of a car was speeding northbound on Route 130 when he lost control in a construction area.

The vehicle went airborne and went 75 yards into Cooper River. The impact of the crash ejected three men from the car.

Two of the victims were found not far from the crash scene while the third victim was found a short time later in a bush along the banks of the river.

All three men - in their 20s - were taken to Cooper Hospital in critical condition.

So far no word what sparked the crash.
