Man robs NE Phila. bank, flees on bus

Police have arrested the man who robbed a bank in Northeast Philadelphia and fled on a bus.

The robbery happened at 9:30 a.m. at the TD Bank at 2231 Cottman Avenue.

Investigators say the man robbed the bank then fled on the SEPTA Route 58 Bus.

However, officers were able to catch up to the bus at Bustleton and Levick and took the man into custody.

There was no word on the man's identity as the investigation continues.

It was not yet known of the man was armed during the bank robbery.
